Log-E Roles & Permissions

IN REVIEW DO NOT PUBLISH

Updated: February 2026

In Log-E, access to hand receipts is strictly team-based. This means:

You cannot view, update, or interact with any hand receipt unless your team is directly assigned to it; regardless of your role.

Even the highest-level roles (such as Organization Leader) must be a member of a team to access that team's hand receipts.

Types of Roles and their Permissions

Log-E uses a hierarchical role structure, where each role inherits the permissions of the roles beneath it:

Organization Leader: Has all Org Admin, Team Leader, and Member permissions

What they can see:

Everything. All people, profiles, teams, and data in the command.

What they can do:

Everything. Grant all permission levels, view and update all profile data, manage all teams, and export data in the command. Chat with members in the command.

As an Org Leader, you can access profile information for all members of your command and update all roles and permissions, including granting Org Leader level permissions.

You cannot view hand receipts unless your team is assigned to them or you are the owner.

Organization Administrator: Inherits Team Leader and Member permissions

What they can see:

  • All user profiles

  • All teams in the command

What they can do:

  • Invite new users

  • Remove, suspend, wipe users from the organization

  • Assign users to any team

  • Create, update, and delete teams

  • Update profile data for all users

  • Chat with members in the command.

As an Organization Admin, you can access profile information for all members of your organization and grant team-leader-level permissions.

You cannot view hand receipts unless your team is assigned to them or you are the owner.

Team Leader: Inherits Member permissions

What they can see:

  • Profile information for those who are part of a team they lead

  • Hand Receipts belonging to team they're assigned to

What they can do:

  • See & update all hand receipts assigned to a team they lead

  • Generate forms for the hand receipts their team is assigned to

  • Create checklist from hand receipts their team is assigned to

  • Chat with members in the command.

Upload files

  • Add & remove users to their teams

As a Team Leader, you can grant team leader level permissions to others in your team.

You cannot view hand receipts unless your team is assigned to them or you are the owner.

Member: Base level role

What they can see:

  • Hand receipts their team is assigned to

  • Who is part of their command and their specific team

  • Their personal information

What they can do:

  • They can see and update their own profile

  • Manage hand receipts assigned to the team they're a part of

  • Remove themselves off any team they are a part of

  • Chat with member in the command.

All roles are considered members at their core. Higher roles expand on Member permissions but do not override team-based access restrictions on hand receipts.

You cannot view hand receipts unless your team is assigned to them or you are the owner.

Hand Receipt Access & Actions

As mentioned, access to and interaction with hand receipts is determined solely by team assignment, not by role. This applies to both primary and sub hand receipts.

Form Generation

Generate any of the following forms:

  • DA 2062 (Hand Receipt)

  • DA 1750 (Packing List)

Checklist Management

  • Create new checklists tied to hand receipts

  • Add items to existing checklists

  • Automatically generate checklists from:

    • Cyclic Inventory Memo

    • Sensitive Items Inventory

Sublist Assignment & Collaboration

  • Assign and manage sublists for sensitive items

  • Request signatures from other team members for forms requiring approval or acknowledgment

What Log-E Provides:

  • Shortage Annex

  • Sensitive Items Inventory

  • Cyclic Inventory

  • Command-Directed Inventory

  • Component Listing
