Offline Mode allows the app to continue working even when a user does not have internet access (no Wi-Fi or cellular connection).
When the user is offline:
The app saves actions locally on the device
The user can continue using the app normally
Once internet connectivity returns, the app automatically syncs those changes with the server. This ensures users never lose work due to poor connectivity.
Example Actions That Can Be Saved Offline:
Sending messages
Creating or editing content
Updating fields or settings
Adding comments or notes
Any write action in the app
All of these actions are queued locally until connectivity is restored.
Online / Offline State Indicators
State | Meaning |
Online | Connected to the server. Changes sync immediately. |
Offline | No connection. Changes are saved locally and will sync later. |
Syncing | Connection restored and offline changes are being uploaded. |
Offline mode is not compatible with Log-E
If you are viewing your catalog and lose your wifi/cell signal you will not be able to open an item view.
Same scenario if you are looking at your equipment HR list, you wont be able to open a catalog view if you dont have wifi/cell signal.
