How to change a name, rank, and the phone number or email associated with an AOK account.

As an Org Leader, Org Admin, or Team Leader:


Update Your Profile

Access Your Profile

On the homepage, tap your profile icon in the top left corner.

This opens your Profile.

Profile Overview and Quick Updates

From the profile screen, you can view and update:

  • Assignment (job code, unit of assignment)

  • Status (duty status, readiness, duty type, essential)

  • Contact information (phone number, email)

  • See your Org Role(s)

  • See the Teams your assigned to and easily remove yourself if needed

  • Profile Change History (tap the history icon in the top right corner to see who made changes, what changed, and when)

To update any editable fields, tap the dropdown, then tap Edit.

Note: Your Org Role(s) are displayed here but cannot be changed except by an Org Admin or Org Leader. You can't edit your own org role.

Managing Teams from Your Profile

To remove yourself from a team, tap the three vertical dots (⋮) next to the team name and select Remove from Team.

Team members can remove themselves from a team at any time too without waiting for support from Org Leaders, Admins, or Team Leaders. This empowers members with more control over their participation.

Update Profile (Identity & Organizational Info))

Some profile details are updated from the options menu:

Tap on the three vertical dots (⋮) next to your name.

Here you can change your:

  • Profile photo

  • Branch

  • Component

  • Rank

  • Pay Grade

  • First and Last Name

  • And even set a Display Name (e.g. Butcher)

Tap Save in the bottom right of the screen to update.

As an Org Leader, Org Admin, or Team Leader:

How to update a member's profile information

From the bottom navigation menu, tap Teams.

Tap the People tab.

Once in the People directory, search for the member you want to update or scroll to find them.

Tap the arrow next to their name to view their profile.

Note: If you do not see the arrow, you might not have the proper org role. To learn more about org roles and permissions, see our guide.

Here, you can view and update their Assignment, Status, Contact Info, Org Role, and Teams. Only Org Leaders and Org Admins can change a member’s Org Role.

To access more options, tap the three dots (⋮) next to their name.

From this menu, you can Update their profile, Add to Another Team, Suspend, Remote Wipe, or Remove them from the Organization.

After making any changes to their profile, tap Save in the bottom right corner to apply the updates.
