Who Can Manage Members

Only an Org Leader, Org Admin, or Team Leader can invite or remove users from the command or their respective teams.

Find out what permissions each role has by visiting this link: AOK Roles & Permissions

How to Add New Users

❗️Before inviting someone, always check that they aren’t already in the command with an incorrect or outdated number.❗️

This helps avoid duplicate accounts and ensures they receive messages properly.

There are three ways to invite users:

Bulk Upload

For a large number of members, you can Bulk Upload by following the steps in this guide (only available on desktop): Bulk Invite New Members

Reminder: Phone numbers are validated during upload. Invalid numbers will be flagged and must be corrected before invites are sent.

To Begin:

Tap on Teams in the bottom navigation menu.

Then navigate to the People tab.

Tap on Invite Member.

Invite via Phone Number

Click on via phone number.

Enter the first name, last name, phone number, and rank (optional) of the person you are inviting and click Add.

You may add more than one user at a time.

Note: AOK automatically validates phone numbers during the invite process. If a number is invalid or formatted incorrectly, the invite will not go through, and you’ll be prompted to fix it.

The next screen will ask if the members should be added to additional teams (all new users are included in the All Hands). Add the user to additional teams by clicking the + Add to team(s) option.

Then you will notice the + Add to Team(s) is replaced by the team they were added to. To complete this step, click Add in the top right corner.

Congratulations! You have manually invited a new memver via phone number to Mustr!

Invite via Contacts

To invite using your contacts, click on from contacts.

This will take you to your phone's settings or display a pop up requesting permission for AOK to access your contacts. Enable or select Allow.

Don't worry! Adyton does not store or use this information in any way.

Now that you have granted access, you can search for the contact you're wanting to invite. You may add more than one at a time. You can see an overview of which contacts you've selected at the top of your screen.

Once you have selected your desired contact(s), click Invite - # member.

Congratulations! You have invited users using your contacts!

You can also invite users using a QR code.

Note: Invite QR codes are valid for 24 hours by default. Leaders can adjust the expiration timeframe in the AOK app (up to 30 days). See the How to Invite Members Using QR Codes guide for full details.

How to Remove Members From the Command

To Remove a Member from the Command (and all teams):

Tap on Teams in the bottom navigation menu.

Then tap on the People tab.

Find the person you are removing by either searching or scrolling for them.

Click on the arrow next to their name.

🛑 If you do not see see an arrow next to their name, you do not have the command role to see their profile information. 🛑

Please reach out to an Org Leader or AOK support for assistance.

Once in the person's profile click the three dots next to their name.

Choose Remove from Organization.

This will remove them from ALL teams within the command too.

When prompted, type "delete" into the text box to confirm deletion.
Then tap Delete.

Removing Yourself from a Team (Without Leaving the Command)

Team members can now leave any team they belong to without needing assistance from a team leader or org role, and without being removed from the command.

To do this:

Start by navigating to the Teams screen by clicking Teams in the bottom navigation menu.

Then tap the three dots next to the team name.

Select Leave Team.

You’ll remain in the command and in any other teams you're assigned to.
