The Dynamic Signatures Placement Editor is the main tool for preparing documents for signature. It allows users to define who needs to sign, where signatures should appear, and in what order the document should be signed.
What Dynamic Signatures Are
Dynamic Signatures allow users to:
Assign multiple signers to a document
Place signature fields anywhere on a PDF
Control signing order
Navigate large documents quickly during setup
Manage signing workflows directly from the Files page
Who Can Use Dynamic Signatures
Available to all users
Supported for PDF documents only
Works on web currently, with mobile support coming separately
Any uploaded PDF can be prepared for signing
Accessing the Placement Editor
đ Navigate to Files to access the Dynamic Signatures Placement Editor.
Tap on More (âŽ) in the bottom right corner navigation menu.
Tap on Files.
Tap on the three vertical dots (âŽ) next to the name of the file.
Then select Request Signature.
The Placement Editor will open automatically.
How the Placement Editor Works
The Placement Editor is designed around two main concepts:
Signers
Signature Fields
The workflow starts by assigning signers first, then placing fields onto the document.
Adding Signers
Before placing any signature fields, users first define who needs to sign the document.
To Add Signers:
Use the Signers section at the top of the screen.
Tap + Add Signer.
Search for users by name.
Select each signer you want included.
Once added, those members can be assigned to their own signature fields.
This makes field assignment faster and reduces placement mistakes.
You can change the signer assigned to any field at any time.
Tap + Add Field. Then tap where you'd like to place the signature field.
Each signature field is automatically numbered.
You can rotate/move the field to where you'd like the signature placed on the PDF. Signers can not move the signature field's placement.
Navigating the PDF
The Placement Editor displays one page at a time.
Instead of scrolling through a continuous document, simply use the page controls at the top of the editor.
Users are warned before sending incomplete workflows.
Missing assignments must be corrected before sending.
Signing Order and Sequential Signing
Documents are designed around sequential signing, meaning:
The first signer signs first
The next signer signs after completion
Final approvers sign last
Sending Documents for Signing
Once all signers and fields are configured, tap Send Request.
The system validates the workflow and the document is sent to the assigned users.
Users complete signatures in sequence. See our guide (NEW LOOK) How to Sign a File.
