How to Send an RFI:
Tap the message icon in the bottom right corner of the Mustr Messages page.

Add the relevant recipients and Add your question(s).
Choose the appropriate question type (see below). Question types can be sent on their own or combined with other question types within the same RFI.

Tip: If you expect to use this question again, save it as a template. Templates are stored in the Question Bank and can be added to future RFIs with just a few clicks. See: (NEW LOOK) How to Use Mustr Question Bank.
Question Types:
Poll - Yes or No answers. This is useful when you need quick input, preferences, or votes from your team.

Numeric – For number-based answers (e.g. “How many vehicles are needed?”).
Date – For selecting a specific date.
Multiple Choice – Set options for users to choose from (e.g. “T-shirt size: S, M, L”).
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
If you choose to upload a file, you will be able to select files that were previously uploaded to your command's Files tab (under Recent files).
You only upload up to 25MB at a time.
Saving RFI Questions for Later Use (Question Bank)
The Question Bank allows you to save commonly used RFI questions as reusable templates. Saved questions can be quickly added to future RFIs, helping you maintain consistency and reduce repetitive work.
To save a question for future use:
When creating a question, enable Save answer as Template.
Complete and save the question by tapping Add to RFI.
The question will be added to the Question Bank and can be selected during future RFI creation by tapping Choose from Question Bank.
For detailed instructions on creating, editing, and managing question templates, see (NEW LOOK) How to Use Mustr Question Bank.
Getting notifications for RFI Responses
To receive a notification on Yes/No questions, you can choose to be notified only when a specific answer is selected. This is common when asking for volunteers or wanting an immediate notification if someone is in need.
To customize notifications:
After creating your RFI and adding your question(s), select the answer you want notifications for.
Understanding Deadlines
When sending a Mustr, you can set a deadline to prompt responses within a desired timeframe. There are two types of deadlines you may encounter:
Soft Deadline
Recipients can still respond after the deadline.
You’ll still be notified of late responses.
Best for non-urgent requests or ongoing info collection.
Hard Deadline
Recipients cannot respond after the deadline has passed.
Best for time-sensitive or mission-critical messages.
he Mustr will show as “expired” once the deadline is reached.
You can select a deadline type when composing a Mustr by tapping the deadline options during the message setup.
Notifying Newly Added Members
If new members are added to a team after a Mustr has already been sent, you’ll see a prompt asking if you’d like to notify them.
Tap Notify to send the original message only to those newly added members without resending it to the entire team.
This helps ensure everyone receives the message, even if team rosters change after it’s been sent.
Deleting a Mustr
If you've sent a Mustr by mistake or it’s no longer needed, you can delete it from the Mustr Message Details. Once deleted, the message is removed from all recipients’ views, and any responses or acknowledgments are permanently lost.
Important: Mustrs cannot be edited once sent. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Only individuals with permissions for the team the Mustr was sent from can delete it.
How to Delete a Sent Mustr:
Go to the Mustr log from the home screen and locate the Mustr you want to delete. Tap on it to open the Broadcast Details. Tap the three-dots (⋮) to select Delete this Mustr.
Confirm the deletion by completing the confirmation prompt.
What Happens for SMS Users When a Message is Deleted?
If a recipient clicks the secure link in a text message (SMS) after the associated Mustr has been deleted, they will see "This message was deleted".
This helps avoid confusion and ensures the user knows the message is no longer available.
